Public Display PR is an indie music publicity firm in San Francisco, California.
Established in 2013, our bilateral approach to music publicity is aimed at achieving high-profile coverage for indie bands and empowering them to take bold steps forward on steady ground, even in an ever-changing industry increasingly known for its uncertainty.
Founding partners Alex Haager and Cassidy Frost take great pride in having helped grow the careers of some of their favorite new and developing bands.
Alex (he/him) spends his days interacting with many of the best music writers and editors in the industry, reaching out about coverage opportunities and pitching features and stories. He loves Scotland and enjoys long walks on the 90s midwest emo.
Cass (they/them) developed Public Display’s plans and strategies for marketing, content management and booking because artists can’t enjoy the full benefits of PR if they don’t have a plan of action moving forward. Cass now does marketing strategy for musicians and music businesses. You can check out their work at DedicateYourLifeToMusic.com
Valerie (she/her) is a bio writer who enjoys unspooling narratives from bands about their upcoming releases. She’s written for Pitchfork, NYLON, and many others, and previously worked for Polyvinyl Records.
Thomas (he/him) lives in Canada. When he’s not busy playing in Vancouver band Altona, he works to cultivate and develop each of our artists’ unique stories, tirelessly building assets that illuminate what is truly special about each release.
Lorne (he/him) is a well-known bio writer, having been commissioned by some of music’s most popular names, as well as a plethora of up and coming artists. He started as a music critic and his work has appeared in MTV, The Village Voice, SPIN, Guitar World and Alternative Press. He was also an A&R rep for Blue Note Records.
